Trent B. Miracle has more than two decades of experience handling complex civil litigation. He became a lawyer to help people fight back against the negligence of large companies. He practices in the areas of pharmaceutical litigation and mesothelioma and asbestos.

After obtaining his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in Texas, Miracle began his career focusing on aviation law in 1996, specializing in airline and helicopter disasters.

Miracle has become a nationally recognized leader and experienced litigator in high-profile cases, handling everything from pharmaceutical and medical device cases to class-action matters and clergy abuse claims.

Throughout his career, Miracle has worked with product liability teams to help recover billions in settlements and jury verdicts for his clients. With nearly three decades of experience handling all types of mass tort cases, he has been instrumental in recovering more than $2 billion in settlements for people harmed by the negligence of pharmaceutical giants Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie, Bayer and Merck. His notable pharmaceutical and medical device settlements involved pelvic mesh, testosterone replacement therapy products, Bextra, Ephedra, Ortho Evra and Vioxx.

Miracle’s leadership, professionalism and expertise have led federal judges to appoint him to plaintiffs’ steering committees for several multidistrict litigations involving Yaz, DePuy hip replacements and Propecia. Most notably, he was appointed plaintiffs’ co-lead counsel in MDLs involving Tepezza and testosterone replacement therapy products.

As an exceptional leader in the legal field, Miracle regularly speaks at national legal conferences. He is the founding chair of the American Association for Justice’s asbestos litigation group, former co-chair of AAJ’s testosterone therapy litigation group and chair of the annual Litigation Series Mass Torts Forum.

His performance and dedication to the field have led him to receive several awards, including The Best Lawyers in America for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Plaintiffs (2024), Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs (2022-2024), and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs (2024). He was also recognized by the Illinois Super Lawyers list (2021-2023).
